Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati wished the Indian team luck as they arrived in Dubai for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup. The actor appeared in a video shared on the BCCI Women’s X handle, which had glimpses of the Indian team’s touchdown in Dubai.

The 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in the United Arab Emirates from October 3 to October 20. The tournament was initially scheduled to be held in Bangladesh but had to be moved due to civil unrest in the country.

On Wednesday, September 25, the BCCI Women’s social media handle shared a video of the Women in Blue arriving in Dubai to take part in an ICC event. Making a special appearance at the beginning of the clip, Daggubati can be heard saying:

“I just met these wonderful people at the airport, and I wish them all the best. Thank you.”

However, before the Indian team departs for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup, captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed confidence in the team’s good performance.

He said, “If I talk about this team, we have some players who have been playing for a long time and they know their role very well. I can say that this is the best team with which we are going to play the T20 World Cup.”

The Indian captain said, “It was tough, because last time we lost in the semi-finals and came so close. But every time you should think about positive things, work hard on yourself and your fitness. We have tried to meet all the criteria before entering the tournament.”

India have come close to winning ICC titles over the past decade but are yet to win a World Cup in any format. They reached the semi-finals of the 2023 T20 World Cup in South Africa but lost to eventual champions Australia.
