Delhi Capitals is looking very strong after the mega auction
The mega auction for IPL 2025 ended on November 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this auction which lasted for two days, 10 teams together bought a total of 182 players, out of which 62 were foreign players. Teams spent Rs 639.15 crore to buy these players. Also, a total of 395 players including domestic and foreign players did not find any buyer.
On the other hand, in this mega auction, Delhi Capitals (DC), the runner-up of the 2020 IPL season, also impressed the cricket world with its auction strategy. The team has further strengthened its core team by purchasing some excellent players in this auction.
Delhi Capitals management added Indian cricket team’s experienced wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul by paying just Rs 14 crores, while former South African captain Faf du Plessis was included in the team by buying him for the base price of just Rs 2 crores.
Apart from this, DC included Mitchell Starc, who was the most expensive player in the last IPL auction, for just Rs 11.75 crore. Also, death overs specialist T Naratarajan was bought by Delhi for Rs 10.75 crore.
After the end of the IPL auction, the commentary panel of Jio Cinema gave the highest marks out of 10 to the Delhi team. After the mega auction, DC is looking very strong and from now on it is being considered a strong contender to win the title.
