IPL 2025 Auction, Arshdeep Singh: IPL 2025 mega auction has started in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah. The first bid in the auction was made for Indian young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. Punjab Kings have reinstated Arshdeep Singh into the team for Rs 18 crore using the RTM (Right to Match) card.

Arshdeep made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings in 2019. He proved his bowling prowess every season. But Punjab Kings retained only two players Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh before the mega auction and released everyone else.

Cricket fans and experts were surprised as to why the franchise did not retain Arshdeep Singh. However, now Arshdeep Singh will be seen representing Punjab Kings again in the upcoming season of IPL.

CSK, DC, RCB, RR and SRH also bid for Arshdeep Singh

Franchises like Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad bid for Arshdeep Singh in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad made a bid of Rs 15.75 crore, but then Punjab Kings included Arshdeep back in the team using the RTM card.

Arshdeep Singh’s IPL career-

Talking about Arshdeep Singh’s IPL career, he has played 65 matches so far, in which he has taken 76 wickets at an average of 27.0 and economy of 9.03.

Such is the performance for India in T20 International.

Arshdeep made his T20 International debut against England in 2022. So far, in 60 matches, this bowler has taken 95 wickets at an average of 18.11 and economy of 8.32. Arshdeep played a big role in India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. In the final against South Africa, he took two wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs. And was the second most successful bowler in the tournament with 17 wickets in 8 matches. Arshdeep has become the second bowler to take the most wickets for India in T20 and he is soon going to break the record of Yuzvendra Chahal.
