IPL 2024 Mega Auction is taking place on November 24 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A lot of money has been showered on 12 marquee players in the first round. Indian veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was playing for Rajasthan Royals for the last two seasons. Anna will be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming season. The franchise has signed him by bidding Rs 9.75 crore. With this the spinner has returned home after 9 years.

Chennai Super Kings made the first bid for Ravichandran Ashwin in the IPL 2025 mega auction. After this, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore were also seen bidding. Rajasthan Royals also entered the field to get their player back but in the end Chennai won.

Ashwin has played for five IPL franchises

Ravichandran Ashwin has represented five franchises so far in his IPL career. He played for Chennai Super Kings from 2008 to 2015. Then in 2016 and 2017, Ashwin was a part of Rising Pune Super Giants. Ashwin played for Punjab Kings from 2018 to 2020 and then for Rajasthan Royals from 2022 to 2024.
