Mumbai Indians bought Deepak Chahar for Rs 9.25 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
In the IPL 2025 mega auction, Mumbai Indians have included Deepak Chahar in their team by bidding crores of rupees. Chahar was previously a part of Chennai Super Kings, representing the franchise for 6 years.
Mumbai was the first to bid for the fast bowler in the mega auction, after which Punjab Kings also entered the fray. Then Chennai Super Kings entered with a bid of Rs 8 crore. After this, Mumbai bought Chahar with a huge bid of Rs 9.25 crores.
Whatever role the team gives me, I will play it – Deepak Chahar
Indian fast bowler Deepak Chahar is very happy after becoming a part of Mumbai Indians. He said that the Mumbai ground will be suitable for his swing bowling. The bowler also said that he will try his best to play whatever role is given to him in the new team.
Deepak Chahar while talking on JioCinema said,
It feels great to go from one great franchise to another. I think Mumbai suits the swing and my style and has some seam movement as well. So, it is good to be a part of this franchise. Everything is great. Whatever role the team gives me, I will play it. I just want to win trophies. In CSK, I did not get much opportunity to bat, but with the Indian team, I have performed well with the bat.
