IPL 2025 mega auction is being organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
IPL 2025 auction date and venue
The mega auction for the IPL 2025 edition will be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This will be the second auction to be held outside India.
This many players registered for IPL 2025 auction
A total of 1,574 players have registered for the IPL 2025 auction, which includes 1,165 Indian and 409 foreign players. Of the total players who have signed up, 320 are capped, 1,224 are uncapped and 30 are from Associate nations. Only 204 players are going to shine in the upcoming mega auction.

- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Rs 83 crore
- Delhi Capitals (DC): Rs 73 crore
- Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) And Gujarat Titans (GT): Rs 69 crore
- Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Rs 55 crore
- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): Rs 51 crore
- Mumbai Indians (MI) And Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Rs 45 crore
- Rajasthan Royals (RR): Rs 41 crore (lowest purse)
After the deadline day, Punjab Kings have Rs 110.50 crore. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have Rs 69 crore each. Same is the situation with Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, both have Rs 45 crore left. Royal Challengers Bangalore have the second largest purse (Rs 83 crore) for the mega auction, while Rajasthan Royals have the smallest purse (Rs 41 crore). Chennai Super Kings have Rs 55 crore, while defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs 51 crore. At the same time, Delhi Capitals is left with Rs 73 crore.
New Bidding Rules for IPL 2025 Auction:
For this year’s auction, the new bidding rules may be as follows
- Base price Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1 crore: The bid will increase by Rs 5 lakh.
- Base price Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore: The bid will increase by Rs 10 lakh.
- Base price Rs 2 crore to Rs 10 crore: The bid will increase by Rs 20 lakh.
- Base price Rs 10 crore or more: The bid will increase by Rs 50 lakh till the player is finally selected.
For players whose base price ranges from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1 crore, the bid will increase by Rs 5 lakh. Similarly, the bidding prices for players with base prices between Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore and Rs 2 crore and Rs 10 crore will increase by Rs 10 lakh and Rs 20 lakh respectively. At the same time, for a player who has registered his base price as Rs 10 crore or more, his bid will be increased by Rs 50 lakh until a team includes him in the roster.
