Mumbai Indians have included young Afghanistan spinner Allah Ghazanfar in their team in the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2025. Let us tell you that Allah Ghazanfar has been bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 4.80 crore.

As soon as the name of this young spinner was taken in the auction, Mumbai Indians immediately started bidding on him. The base price of Allah Ghazanfar was Rs 75 lakh. Apart from Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore were also seen bidding for this excellent spinner. However, in the end Mumbai Indians included him in their team.

Allah Ghazanfar is being seen as Afghanistan’s next big spinner. Till now he has played 8 ODI matches in which he has taken a total of 12 wickets, but the important thing was his taking five wickets in a match. At the same time, he has taken 29 wickets in 16 T20 matches so far. Ghazanfar took four wickets twice in a match, but his economy run-rate made headlines. His economy run-rate in international ODI was 4.36, while in T20 it is 4.43.

He has a number of variations including carrom ball and wrong’un and his action is very similar to that of India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy. Ghazanfar recently surprised everyone with his bowling in the ODI series against South Africa and Bangladesh.
