Team India was limited to 150 runs in the first innings. But then in the second innings, on the strength of century innings by Yashasvi Jaiswal (161) and Virat Kohli (100*), the team declared the innings at 487/6 and gave Australia a target of 534 runs. The Australian team was all out for 238 runs while chasing the target. Mitchell Marsh played the highest innings of 47 runs and Travis Head played the highest innings of 89 runs for the team. At the same time, for India, Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets each in the second innings. Pat Cummins has given a big statement after the defeat against India.
