For this reason, the Cricket Committee has recommended that in order to promote Test cricket, as many Day-Night Tests i.e. Pink Ball Test matches should be organized in the next WTC cycle and the Test series should also be of at least 3 matches under the WTC. . ICC is considering conducting a three-match test series An ICC source said, “Some countries like South Africa, New Zealand and Sri Lanka play only two-Test series on most occasions. Only India, England and Australia play long Test series. This does not help in promoting Test cricket and makes the distribution of points very unfair.
