Today i.e. on January 7, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced its team for the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan starting from January 11. Many excellent players have been included in this team. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have returned to the T20 team.

However, many people are quite surprised to see that the brilliant spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has once again been ignored and he has not been included in the Indian team in this series. Yuzvendra Chahal has so far played 80 T20 matches for India in which he has taken 96 wickets at an average of 25.09. The performance of this brilliant spinner has been quite good in ODIs also. He has taken 121 wickets in 72 ODI matches at an average of 27.13.

T20 World Cup is also to be played this year and the same question is arising in the minds of many people that why is Chahal not getting a chance in T20 cricket? Is it not that now Yuzvendra Chahal’s career in international cricket is completely over? He did not get a chance even in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, then it remains to be seen whether he is included in the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2024 or not?
