Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has today announced a strong India A squad for the upcoming warm-up matches against England Lions on 6 January. India A will play one two-day warm-up match and three four-day matches against England before the upcoming five-match Test series.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has handed over the command of the team to Bengal cricketer Abhimanyu Easwaran for the two-day warm-up match and the first four-day match. A two-day warm-up match and the first match of a series of three four-day matches will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, apart from Abhimanyu Easwaran, the India A team includes brilliant players like Sai Sudarshan, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan and Navdeep Saini. Let us tell you, 28-year-old Easwaran was a part of India’s recent Test squad against South Africa, but he did not get a chance to play.

Easwarana has been a part of India’s Test team for the last few years, but has not made his debut in international cricket yet. Earlier, Easwaran led the India A team during the second practice match against South Africa A last month, while wicketkeeper batsman KS Bharat led the team in the first match. Team India will host England in the first Test in Hyderabad from January 25.
