Former Pakistan batsman Younis Khan believes that Fakhar Zaman or Mohammad Rizwan should be appointed captain of the national ODI and T20 team in place of Babar Azam. Today i.e. on 3rd October, Younis Khan was honored in a special program at Adelaide Oval. Younis Khan has been presented with the official South Australia Redbacks cap by Mark Cosgrove who is a former Australian player and currently serves as the High-Performance Coach for the South Australia Cricket Association.

The former Pakistani player told the reporter at Adelaide Oval, ‘Babar Azam’s decision that he has resigned from the captaincy is right. In our country, big players are made captains which I think is a big mistake. According to me, either Mohammad Rizwan or Fakhar Zaman should be appointed the captain of the team. Both of them are very good players and can handle this important responsibility well.

Younis Khan said, ‘I hope that Pakistan men’s cricket team performs well in Australia. We have many young players whose performance has been excellent in recent times. However, it is very important for the selectors to select the team well.
