ireland has afghanistan announced their Test and limited overs squads for the upcoming all-format series against Australia. Uncapped fast bowler Matthew Foster has been included in the Test team, while most of the players who played the Test match against Afghanistan in the year 2019 have been selected in the team.

Barry McCarthy, Theo van Woerkom and Craig Young are also in the running for debuts under Andrew Balbirnie’s captaincy in the one-off Test starting in Abu Dhabi on February 28. After this one-off Test match, both Afghanistan and Ireland will play a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series, where Paul Stirling will lead the team.
