After there was no play for the first four days, all the cricket fans were expecting to see a great match between these two teams on the fifth day, but due to rain, neither the match started nor the toss took place at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground in Greater Noida. The match officials had no other option but to cancel this match.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board gave this update today i.e. on 13 September, ‘It is still raining in Greater Noida and due to continuous rain, the fifth and final day’s play between Afghanistan and New Zealand has also been cancelled by the match officials.’

From the very beginning, many questions were raised about the schedule and ground of the Afghanistan Cricket Board. Even before this match, the Afghanistan team has played very few international test matches. Not only this, it was a very disappointing thing for the New Zealand team as well.
