Indian star batsman Virat Kohli is preparing vigorously for the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The first match between the two teams is to be played in Perth from 22 November. Meanwhile, Australian rain spoiled the mood of Team India. It rained in Perth on Tuesday (19 November), due to which the team had to cancel the practice session. But this rain did not make any difference to King Kohli. He continued batting in the nets despite the rain.

The practice session on Tuesday (November 19) was just a routine training day, but Virat Kohli, who is struggling with poor form, wanted to take full advantage of it. He batted diligently despite the rain, even though the entire team had left the field. However, after some time it started raining heavily, after which Virat also had to leave the nets.

Journalist Bharat Sundaresan tweeted on his social media handle and wrote,

Virat Kohli did not see a century in both the last Test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Since 2020, he has scored runs at an average of only 32 in Tests and has scored only two centuries in the last 60 Test innings. His form declined further in 2024, averaging 22.72 in 6 matches and scoring only one half-century in the last 10 innings.

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul can be seen opening with Yashasvi Jaiswal.
