He scored 569 runs in 11 matches in the 2024 season at an average of 56.9 and won the Hanif Mohammad Cap award. Let us tell you that Babar Azam finished the tournament as the leading run scorer in the 2020 and 2021 seasons consecutively before the 2024 season. Playing for Karachi Kings, he scored 473 runs in 12 matches in 2020, while in 2021 he scored 554 runs in 11 matches.

There are not many batsmen who have scored more than 500 runs in a season of PSL. The only three batsmen to achieve this feat are Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman. Babar and Rizwan have scored more than 500 runs three times, while Fakhar Zaman achieved the feat only once.

Second batsman to score more than 10 centuries in T-20 cricket

In PSL-9, Babar played his best innings against defending champions Islamabad United in Lahore. Where he scored unbeaten 111 runs in 63 balls. This innings included 14 fours and two sixes. With this, he has recorded 11 centuries in T-20 cricket.
