Royal Challengers Bangalore team captain Smriti Mandhana believes that the team is much better in the upcoming edition than the previous edition and she is confident that they will definitely want to win the trophy for the 2024 season.
The team’s performance was quite disappointing in the first season and RCB could not make its place in the knockouts. Smriti Mandhana also failed to leave her mark in the first season. Smriti Mandhana said on JioCinema, ‘I would like that we should perform better in the upcoming season than the first season. From the RCB team side, we released some players and included new players in the team. The balance of the team is much better than before and we are confident in our ability. Domestic cricket has helped me a lot and I have also practiced a lot. There are some players in the team who are in very good form at the moment and would definitely like to leave their mark in the upcoming season.

Smriti Mandhana further said, ‘Last season we joined the team just two days before the tournament. We didn’t know 90% of our players. We didn’t know what to do and what the other players could do. We should be aware of our weaknesses and strengths in the upcoming season so that we can perform well. The Women’s Premier League is a small tournament and making changes is very difficult for everyone.
We are not thinking too far at this point. The people of our franchise are very good and they also support all of us a lot. In the last edition, we had lost four consecutive matches but despite that they cheered us hard. We want to win the trophy for our own fans.
