The Bangladesh cricket team is going to tour Pakistan in August-September for a two-match Test series. The first match between the two teams will be played in Rawalpindi from August 21. At the same time, the second Test will be played in Karachi from August 30. Meanwhile, big news is coming that the team will now leave for the tour five days before the scheduled time. This decision has been taken in view of the current situation in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh team will leave for Pakistan on August 12

According to Cricbuzz report, Bangladesh cricket team will leave for Pakistan tour on 12 August. Pakistan Cricket Board wants to host Bangladesh for an extended period in Rawalpindi due to the ongoing protests in Bangladesh.

The PCB confirmed that the Bangladesh team will train at the Gaddafi Stadium from August 14-16 before moving to Islamabad on August 17. The team will then practice at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18-20 before the first match on August 21.

Happy that BCB accepted our proposal- Salman Naseer

Pakistan Cricket Board’s Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer said,

Sports is not just about winning and losing, it is also about camaraderie. I am confident that the extra training sessions in Lahore will allow the players to showcase their best skills and talent on the global stage. We are delighted that the BCB has accepted our offer and we look forward to welcoming the Bangladesh Men’s Cricket Team to Lahore on August 13. This will give them an additional three days to train before moving to Islamabad.

Foreign coaching staff does not want to be a part of practice sessions

Bangladesh’s foreign coaching staff has objected to being a part of the practice sessions as their embassy has banned them from travelling due to the political situation in the country. A BCB official told Cricbuzz,

Given the travel restrictions, we cannot force them (foreign coaching staff) to attend training sessions. The fact that many police stations in the city are still not functioning is a matter of concern. We are working on sending the team to Pakistan first.
