The T20 World Cup 2024 will be played jointly in America and West Indies on 1 June. Former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly says that Team India needs to adopt a fearless and aggressive approach to achieve success in the World Cup.

Speaking during a media event in Delhi, Sourav Ganguly said, ‘The most important thing for India is to play without any fear. There are no strict rules about age and playing youngsters in T20Is, James Anderson still plays Tests and bowls 30 overs in Tests, MS Dhoni still hits sixes and both are in their 40s at times. Hitting sixes is important, Virat can score a century in 40 balls. It is about playing fearlessly in T20.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2024, Virat Kohli has scored 379 runs in 8 matches at an average of 63.17 and strike rate of 150.4. Which includes one century and two half-centuries.

India needs to go out and hit – Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly says that there should be a mix of youth and experience in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He also praised the six-hitting ability of batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Surya, Shivam Dubey and Pandya.

‘There should be a balance of experience and youth, it is like this with big teams. You have to watch all the performances (IPL and international). India need to go out and hit. Rohit, Virat, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey, Hardik Pandya, all of them are extraordinary talents and their ability to hit sixes is tremendous.
