The picture of this auction sheet has been shared by famous auctioneer Richard Madeley on social media. Let us tell you that on 20 February 2008, a bid was made on Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He was included in their team by Chennai Super Kings for $1.5 million.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only player on whom all the IPL franchises had bid. Before the auction, Chennai Super Kings were criticized for not announcing the name of their icon player like other franchises. However, under the captaincy of Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings have performed amazingly so far and have won the trophy of this important tournament five times.
Famous auctioneer Richard Medley shared this picture on social media in which apart from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the names of Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Shoaib Akhtar, Muttiah Muralitharan and Mahela Jayawardene are also included.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will also be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2025. Apart from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Chennai franchise has also retained captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja and Matheesha Pathirana.
