Kolkata Knight Riders put 272 runs on the board against Delhi Capitals.
The 16th match of IPL 2024 is being played between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 3 in Visakhapatnam. Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 272 runs on the board at the loss of 7 wickets. This is the second highest total in IPL history. For a moment it seemed that Kolkata Knight Riders could surpass Sunrisers Hyderabad and post the biggest total in IPL history. But due to the wickets of Rinku Singh and Andre Russell, KKR fell short of creating history.
In IPL 2024 itself, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 277 runs against Mumbai Indians, which is the highest total in IPL history. Royal Challengers Bangalore had scored 263 runs against Pune Warriors in 2013, which has now become the third highest total in IPL history.

IPL 2024: Sunil Narayan missed a century
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first. Sunil Narayan and Phil Salt gave the team an aggressive start. There was a partnership of 60 runs between the two for the first wicket. Phil Salt played an inning of 18 runs in 12 balls.
There was a partnership of 104 runs for the second wicket between Sunil Narayan and Angrish Radhuvanshi. Sunil Narayan had scored a half-century in 21 balls. Sunil Narayan played an inning of 85 runs in 39 balls with the help of 7 fours and 7 sixes. Angrish Radhuvanshi played an inning of 54 runs in 27 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer could score only 18 runs in 11 balls against Delhi. Andre Russell played an inning of 41 runs in 19 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas Rinku Singh played an inning of 26 runs in 8 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 sixes. On the basis of which Kolkata Knight Riders were able to put 272 runs on the board.
