There was news that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had requested India to host the World Cup tournament. After this, discussions started that this competition could be organized in India. But now big information is coming out that BCCI has rejected this request. It is being told that BCCI has taken this decision by giving more priority to the Test series against Bangladesh.
Why did Jay Shah reject the request to host Women’s T20 World Cup in India?
Speaking to the Times of India, Jai Shah said, “They had asked if BCCI could host the Women’s T20 World Cup, but I flatly refused. At that time we will be in the monsoon season and next year we have to host the Women’s ODI World Cup anyway. I do not want to create a misconception that we want to host consecutive World Cup tournaments.”
Let us tell you that the Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in 2 grounds of Bangladesh from 3-20 October. But due to the coup in the country, the tournament seems unlikely to be organized. In such a situation, the ICC is keeping an eye on the whole matter.

Actually, the Test series against Bangladesh will be important for the Indian team to reach the final of the ICC World Test Championship. Both teams will play a series of 2 Tests and 3 T20 matches. The first match of the Test series will be played between 19 September and 23 September.
This match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Bengaluru. The second match of the series will be played between 27 September and 1 October. After this the T20 series will start. 3 matches of the series will be played on 6, 9 and 12 October respectively.
