Shikhar Dhawan decided to retire from domestic and international cricket on August 24. After this decision, former Team India all-rounder and coach Ravi Shastri congratulated Shikhar Dhawan on social media for his brilliant international career.
Let us tell you that Shastri has coached Team India for seven years. During this time he also worked with Dhawan, who was part of the Test team till 2018. Under Shastri’s leadership, India won the Asia Cup in the UAE in 2018, in which Team India defeated Bangladesh in the final.
Dhawan was the first choice opener for Team India in the tournament. He opened in many matches along with Rohit Sharma and made many big records. Ravi Shastri shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) in which he thanked Dhawan for his services to Team India.
