Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee was very excited to see that even though he has retired from international cricket, when he came out to play in the World Championship Legends, a lot of people were seen cheering for him. Brett Lee, former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan and former South African batsman Hashim Amla opened up about their life after retiring from cricket.

All of them talked about this in episode 10 of the podcast series ‘180 Not Out’. Brett Lee said, ‘Even though I have hung up my boots and am not thinking professionally, but if you get a chance to play in such a league and that too after the age of 40 and at the same time all the spectators are cheering for you and the viewership on television is also so high, then we also get very excited that people still want to see us.’

Irfan Pathan was also a part of this podcast and he said, ‘When I came to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket for 2 years, my contract was absolutely… I will not talk about the money but my contract was just 20% of the money I was getting in the Caribbean Premier League. I had a Canadian Premier League contract once and whichever franchise included me in their team, I would have got an amount. Canadian Premier League, T20 Premier League, in 2018, and another league.

When I listen to them, I try to understand how a former player can enjoy things. Different commentators are from different age groups. I love Danny Morrison in T20. Mark Nicholas, Michael Holding and Michael Atherton in Test cricket, I really enjoy talking about the game with all of them.

Let us tell you, the final match of the World Legends Championship was played between India Champions and Pakistan Champions. India Champions won this tournament. Irfan Pathan batted and bowled very well in this entire tournament and won the hearts of all the fans.
