Former Team India cricketer Aakash Chopra has praised Shivam Dubey’s excellent performance in the current IPL season. The former Indian cricketer made a big statement on the chances of Shivam Dubey being selected in the Indian team for T20 WC 2024. Taking to his YouTube channel, the former Indian opener claimed that right now there is no one who dislikes Dube.
Aakash Chopra praised the CSK batsman’s six-hitting ability and was amazed by his power-hitting. Chopra claimed that no Indian batsman can break boundaries at will against both fast bowlers and spinners like Dubey. Chopra said that when Dubey comes to the crease, the opposition teams are afraid of bowling to the spinners.

On his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “Shivam Dubey, how can you not like this player? The way he is playing, the way he is showing his magic and hitting sixes, name an Indian striker who is hitting sixes with more consistency than him against both pace and spin. As soon as he arrives, the spinners’ overs end.
Dubey scored an unbeaten 66*(38) in the match against MI, which included 10 fours and two sixes. His innings and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 69(40) helped Chennai set a good total against Mumbai. However, MS Dhoni also played an impressive innings lower down the order. Dubey has been tremendous as a batsman in the current IPL.
Chopra concluded by saying, “His reputation precedes him, that he hits a lot, so you should not take risks with him, and you will hit all the fast bowlers. He also hit the fast bowlers with all his heart. He did not spare anyone except Jasprit Bumrah. Send him to West Indies now. The consulate is next to my house.
