In this team he will join fellow players Steve Smith and Travis Head.

Let us tell you that this decision of Maxwell has come at a time when he has been dropped from the playing eleven of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing IPL 2024 season due to poor form. So now in the midst of IPL, he has signed an agreement with Washington Freedom team in MLC.
Maxwell gave a big statement about playing in Major League Cricket
Let us tell you that while talking on ESPN, Glenn Maxwell said about Major League Cricket – This is a tournament which I watched from a distance last year and was very excited about the fact that one day I will play this tournament and fortunately this year. It’s time to play. I have been talking to Ricky Ponting and some other players a lot for quite some time now and I am definitely very excited to be involved.
So Maxwell, who was out of form in the IPL, said – My confidence had reduced a lot, and even after some good net sessions, I did not feel right about the game. I am not able to do justice to my game plan. I think if I keep playing and performing like this, I don’t think the results will change much for the team.
Let us tell you that Maxwell has proved to be a continuous flop in the ongoing season of IPL. He has been able to score only 32 runs in 6 matches for the team. So, after RCB’s match against Hyderabad, Maxwell had said that he is taking an indefinite break from the game considering his mental and physical condition.
