Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood, speaking on India Today after the series defeat against Bangladesh, said,

I am not worried about the security of my job. I took this job so that we can make the changes that we think will help this team. If I think this team can go in a certain direction, even if my personal failure takes Pakistan in that direction, I will be satisfied. Whatever time I get, I will be grateful for it and do my best.

Shan Masood also stressed the importance of gaining more knowledge about Test cricket, which has been lacking in the Pakistani team, especially at the domestic level, for a long time. The Pakistani captain further explained the reason why the team proved weak against Bangladesh.

We have to respect the opposition and Bangladesh had better discipline in both Test matches.
