There was a time when wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan was an important part of India’s limited overs set-up. Even though he was not able to be a part of the playing eleven, his name was always in the squad. But in the last one year things have changed a lot. He has been out of the Indian team for a long time. He played his last international match 11 months ago.

Ishan Kishan decided to take a sudden break from the South Africa tour in December 2023. Since then Ishaan did not return to Team India. Besides, Ishaan was also dropped from his central contract by BCCI. However, Ishaan is now desperate to return to international cricket once again.

Ishan Kishan is desperate to make a comeback in Team India

After being out of Team India for the last one year, Ishan Kishan said that he has learned a lot in this time. Ishan Kishan told Times of India, “I am very desperate to play at the moment. Whenever I get a chance, I will thrash the bowlers. I will play with full force.

I am very desperate to play international matches. I know what happens in team meetings when someone returns to the team. There is light banter and I am very excited about those things too. Whenever I get a chance, I will play with all my might.”

The wicketkeeper further said, “I have matured a lot in the last few months. The way I look at this game now, my perception is very different from before. The laughter and jokes will continue. But now I know where to stop so that it doesn’t hinder my game. I am now moving forward with a more mature mindset and the break has taught me a lot about this. “I am having the best time of my life.”

26-year-old Ishaan is part of the India A squad for the Australia tour. He recently caught the attention of BCCI by playing some excellent innings in Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy. If Ishaan manages to perform well for India A on the Australia tour, then he can make a comeback in international cricket soon.
