Allan Border, former captain of the Australian cricket team and one of the greatest batsmen of the world, has openly expressed his views regarding Parkinson’s disease in front of the cricket fans. Allen says that his health is fine, but it is very difficult for him to fight Parkinson’s disease.

However, now this veteran player of the Australian cricket team is rarely seen in public events. But he took the microphone in the second Test match between Australia and West Indies at Gabba, Brisbane and was seen doing light commentary.

Border gave a big statement regarding health

So while talking to Fox Cricket, the official broadcaster of this series, at the tea time of the second day of the second Test, he shared his thoughts about fighting Parkinson’s disease. Border said-

To be honest, my health is good at the moment. Apart from Parkinson’s, my health is quite good. I get my checkups done regularly and do what my doctor advises me to do. Rest of the body remains fine. The only problem is Parkinson’s, which many people are dealing with. But I’m in really good shape.

Borden further said- I also play golf and still go for morning walks. Right now I am doing all the things that I can do normally. But I don’t run any big marathons anymore. Apart from this, other things are good.

So if we tell you about Parkinson’s disease, it is a disease that occurs with increasing age, the symptoms of which are not visible in the beginning. However, it gradually affects the nervous system of the body and gradually the hold of the nervous system with the rest of the body gets weakened. Due to which human movement becomes very slow.

“’Kohli’s focus is not on numbers, but on winning matches for India’ – former RCB coach warns Kangaroos

Team India will tour Australia in November. Mike Hesson & Virat Kohli (Photo Source: Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) coach Mike Hesson believes that Virat Kohli is at that stage of his career where his first goal is to help India win matches rather than making personal records. The former Indian captain is going through a bad phase in Test cricket, he has not been able to register a single 50+ score in Tests this year. Since 2019, he has managed to score only two centuries in the longest format of the game. While his teammates like Steve Smith, Joe Root and Kane Williamson are making rapid progress in red-ball cricket, Kohli is struggling to live up to his standards. Mike Hesson gave a big statement regarding Virat Kohli Hesson said, ‘I think Virat Kohli is at that stage of his career where he wants to win matches for India. I think it’s a dangerous transition for other teams because if they’re doing that instead of focusing on numbers, big scores will come naturally. The ability to maintain a momentum is important in Australia. For this, the batsman has to be able to counterattack and wait for the right moment to do so. 30 to 60 overs is an important phase there. If Kohli is batting at that time then he will not let the game go astray. It’s about finding the gap, playing shots in the gap. If they try the same this time too and are capable, then they can prove to be dangerous against Australia. Hesson said that despite not having any big scores against Bangladesh, Kohli looked in great form and added that he would do well against teams like New Zealand and Australia. Hesson said, ‘He was in good form and even though he did not score big against Bangladesh, he seemed to be getting into good shape. Going to Australia after playing against New Zealand would suit him as he performs well in these conditions.
