Former South African cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) icon player AB de Villiers has given a big statement regarding Virat Kohli. De Villiers believes that Virat Kohli should be present for his team in the middle overs, so that he can play even bigger innings and take the team to big scores.
AB de Villiers gave special advice to Virat Kohli
AB de Villiers said on his YouTube channel, “Hopefully he (Virat) continues his good start because RCB needs him in the middle overs. We need him in the first six overs, that’s ultimately how I want to see him play. Let Faf take more risks than before, but I want you Virat to be there for more than 6 to 15 overs.
That’s when RCB is going to fire on all cylinders. Be careful of him. Not a bad start for RCB, but not great either. It is in the middle and they need to win some matches. They will now play away and hopefully get some good luck away from home before Chinnaswamy comes back.”
Let us tell you that this season also Virat Kohli is the top scorer for RCB. He has scored 203 runs in four matches at an average of 67.66 and two half-centuries and is also the current Orange Cap holder. Although their team has other big names like captain Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Dinesh Karthik and Rajat Patidar, they have failed to perform with the bat.
RCB has lost two matches on its home ground. After Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB was defeated badly by Lucknow Super Giants in Bengaluru. The team’s next match will now be with Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
