Rishabh Pant has moved to sixth position in the rankings, leaving behind Virat Kohli.

India had to face defeat by 8 wickets against New Zealand in the first test match of the series. On the other hand, Pakistan defeated England by 152 runs in the second test, after which the series is tied at 1-1. Meanwhile, ICC has released the latest Test rankings.
Indian young batsman Rishabh Pant has seen a big rise in his Test batting ranking. He has left Virat Kohli behind and has come to sixth position. At the same time, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have suffered huge losses.
Rishabh Pant reached sixth position with 745 rating.
England player Joe Root is at first place in the ICC Test batting rankings with 917 rating points. New Zealand player Kane Williamson is not part of the series against India due to injury. He is at second position with 821 rating points. England player Harry Brook is in third place with 803 rating points. Whereas, Yashasvi Jaiswal (780) is at fourth place and Steve Smith (757) is at fifth place.
Rishabh Pant played a brilliant inning of 99 runs in the second innings of the first Test against New Zealand. After this inning, he has jumped three places from 9th to 6th in the rankings with a rating of 745. At the same time, Virat Kohli has slipped one place to 8th position with 720 rating points.
Salman Ali Aga also benefited
England player Ben Duckett also got an increase in the ranking. He has jumped three places to reach 11th position with 706 rating points. Whereas Salman Ali Aga has jumped 8 places and is at 14th position with 684 rating points.
Rohit and Gill suffered loss
Rohit Sharma scored 2 and 52 runs in the first test against New Zealand. He has slipped two places to joint 15th position with 683 rating points. At the same time, Shubman Gill who could not play the first test due to injury. He has lost four places and is joint 19th with 677 rating points.
Rachin Ravindra jumped 36 places
Rachin Ravindra scored 134 and 39 runs in the first test against India. He has made a huge jump of 36 places and reached 18th position with 681 rating points. This is also his best ranking till date.
