Indian captain Rohit Sharma has recently become a father for the second time. His wife Ritika Sajdeh has given birth to a son. Due to the possibility of the birth of a child, Rohit Sharma did not go to Australia with Team India. Now after the birth of the son, according to reports, Rohit will not be available for the Perth Test, as he will stay with the family.

Meanwhile, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly wants Rohit Sharma to leave for the Perth Test as soon as possible. Ahead of the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia, Ganguly said he wants India’s Test captain to play the opening matches in Perth as the team needs leadership.

If I were in his place, I should play the Perth Test.

Shubman Gill out of first test
