Speaking on his YouTube channel, the 46-year-old Aakash Chopra Questioned the form of the Indian batsmen and warned that the decision to prepare a spin track could backfire for the home team.

Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel, “Don’t get too excited that ‘we need turning pitches’ because your (Team India) batsmen are not in form. When the batsmen are not in form, your spinners and their (England) spinners will be equally effective.”

He further said that preparing the batting pitch can help the England batsmen to attack all-round and weaken the Indian bowling. Chopra suggested India to include Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI to counter England’s aggressive batting.

The former opener concluded by saying, “I agree that England will score fast on a good surface. But I can give a chance to Kuldeep and hopefully he can weave a net for the English batsmen. I am expecting a good pitch, but I don’t know what India are thinking.”
