After the end of this match, former Pakistani player Basit Ali has given a big statement. Talking about the match, Bangladesh, batting first, scored 127 runs after losing all the wickets. On behalf of the team, captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto played an inning of 27 runs while Mehdi Hasan Miraj contributed 35* runs. He hit three fours during his innings. Towhid Hridoy scored 12 runs while Rishad Hussain returned to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs. Taskin Ahmed also played an inning of 12 runs.

For Team India, Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakraborty took three wickets each. Debutant Mayank Yadav also took one wicket for 21 runs in four overs. Apart from him, Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar also took one wicket each.

In reply, Team India won the match with 7 wickets in 12 overs. On behalf of the team, Sanju Samson played an inning of 29 runs while captain Suryakumar Yadav also scored 29 runs. Hardik Pandya made a valuable contribution of 39* runs. Now the second T20 match between these two teams will be played on October 9 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
