England’s tour of India 2024, IND vs ENG: Former England batsman and commentator Kevin Pietersen (Kevin Pietersen) in the second test match being played against England in Visakhapatnam, Yashasvi Jaiswal (Yashasvi Jaiswal) has expressed disappointment for showing haste after completing his double century.

Kevin Pietersen was not happy with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s shot selection on the second day of the Visakhapatnam Test as he lost his wicket while trying to attack England’s great fast bowler James Anderson. India’s young opening batsman played a magical inning of 209 runs on the second day of the ongoing second Test against England, and contributed more than half of Team India’s first innings total of 396 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his patience in front of James Anderson

Throughout his innings, Yashasvi showed amazing composure against the challenging balls of the England bowlers, especially fast bowler James Anderson. However, after reaching the double century mark, Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his patience, due to which he played a big shot over cover against James Anderson.

Unfortunately, the timing was not good and Jonny Bairstow took a simple catch to end Jaiswal’s excellent innings. Meanwhile, after the first session of the second day of the Visakhapatnam Test, Kevin Pietersen suggested that Yashasvi Jaiswal should have waited for the spinners to adopt an aggressive approach.

Kevin Pietersen said while talking to Sports18, “Yashaswi Jaiswal has the passion to play with the circumstances. One thing he’ll be kicking himself about is that he lashed out at Anderson. Maybe he should have waited. He should try to hit a six on every ball against the spinners. These were Anderson’s last two balls. The ground is not big enough for Jaiswal and he has to only half-connect against the spinners to hit a six. We might have seen a lot of fireworks, but now, the game has moved on.”
