He again got injured in the same finger on the field during morning training.
James Anderson further said, ‘I don’t think there is anything to worry about. Just confirming that the better it is for tomorrow, the better it is. We will need him in batting. That’s why he is confirming that he can hold the bat. There is no point in taking any more external risks. So we are making sure that he is fit to bat.
Talking about the match, Team India had scored 396 runs in the first innings on the basis of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s double century. England were all out for 253 runs in the first innings despite Jasprit Bumrah taking 6 wickets. In the second innings, India scored 255 runs on the strength of Shubman Gill’s century.
