Let us tell you that as soon as Yashasvi scored a double century in this match, he became the third Indian batsman to score double centuries in two consecutive matches. Earlier, Jaiswal had also played a brilliant inning of 209 runs in the second test match held in Visakhapatnam.
So before Jaiswal, this feat was done by former Indian player Vinod Kambli and former captain Virat Kohli. Also, Virat Kohli had achieved this feat by playing an inning of 213 runs against Sri Lanka in 2017.
Apart from this, the 22-year-old player has also equaled former Pakistan player Wasim Akram in terms of hitting the most individual sixes (12) in an innings of a Test match. Akram had hit 12 sixes during his innings of 257 runs played against Zimbabwe at Sheikhupura in 1996.
