IPL 2025: MS Dhoni will be CSK’s first retention: Harbhajan Singh

Dhoni has made CSK champion five times under his captaincy. MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh (Image Credit- Twitter Harbhajan Singh on MS Dhoni: Harbhajan Singh, famously known as the former veteran spinner and turbanator of the Indian cricket team, has recently given a big statement about MS Dhoni. Harbhajan says that Dhoni is going to be the first name in the retention list of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). It is noteworthy that a mega auction can be seen for the upcoming season of IPL at the end of November. But before this auction, all the 10 teams have to submit the list of their retained players to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before October 31, 2024. But meanwhile, Harbhajan’s statement has grabbed headlines. Harbhajan Singh gave a big statement Let us tell you that in a recent discussion with Star Sports, Harbhajan said- I am not sure whether Dhoni will play or not, but if he is available, he will definitely be the team’s first choice to retain, even if He should be considered an uncapped player this season. Harbhajan further said- After Dhoni, CSK’s next choice will be Ravindra Jadeja and Rachin Ravindra. As far as captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is concerned, he is also sure to be retained, I believe that these four players will be retained. Apart from this, we can also keep Mathisha Pathirana in the team, who is an excellent bowler. If an uncapped player is retained, it could be a surprise choice, but it is possible that CSK will retain only five players. So in my view, the possible retentions are MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Rachin Ravindra, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Pathirana. Well, only after the retention list comes, it will be known which players have been retained by CSK? But it is certain that if Dhoni is available for the upcoming season, then CSK is going to be seen retaining him at any cost.
