Team India has played two test matches in Rajkot, in which it won one, while the other match was a draw.
The third match of the five-match Test series between India and England is to be played in Rajkot from February 15. The Indian team, which faced defeat by 28 runs in the Hyderabad Test, made a brilliant comeback in the Visakhapatnam Test and defeated the visiting team. With this the series also became equal at 1-1. Now both the teams will take the field in Rajkot to take the lead in the series.

India vs England match was drawn in Rajkot
In the last match between the two teams in Rajkot, England had scored 537 runs in the first innings thanks to centuries from Joe Root (124) and Ben Stokes (128). In response, India scored 488 runs with the help of centuries from Murali Vijay (126) and Cheteshwar Pujara (124).
With a slight lead, England declared their innings in their second innings after scoring 260 runs on the basis of a century by Alastair Cook (130). Then on the fifth day, India could score only 172 runs for 6 wickets and the match ended in a draw.

Apart from England, India has played a Test match against West Indies in Rajkot, where the host team defeated the Caribbean team by an innings and 272 runs. Prithvi Shaw was the hero of the victory in that match in 2018, but this time he is not a part of the team.
