India vs Australia PM XI: First day of Warm-up Match canceled due to rain, see schedule of second day here

The first day of India’s practice match against Prime Minister’s XI at Manuka Oval, Canberra on Saturday, November 30 has been abandoned due to rain. No play was possible on the opening day, due to bad weather, both teams returned to the hotel disappointed. Let us tell you that the warm-up match will be India’s only practice before the Day/Night Test against Australia starting from December 6 in Adelaide.

The Rohit Sharma-led team has not played a pink ball Test since March 2022. Hence, the players and coaches were eagerly waiting for the game to acclimatise themselves with the pace of the pink ball under the lights. According to the latest update released by BCCI, there will be a 50-50 over match between the two teams on the second day, this will give India equal opportunity to practice with both bat and ball.

Along with this, BCCI has also given an update as to when the second day’s play will start and at what time the toss will take place. According to the BCCI post, “The first day’s play has been canceled and play will resume tomorrow (Sunday) at 9:10 am. The toss will take place at 8:40 am. The teams have agreed to play 50 overs for each side.”

India vs Australia Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series by winning the first match of the 5-match Border Gavaskar Trophy. India had defeated the hosts by 295 runs in the first match played in Perth. This is India’s biggest win in terms of runs among army nations. Team India was led by Jasprit Bumrah in this test.

Regular Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who missed the Perth Test due to the birth of his second child, has now joined the team. This warm-up match against Prime Minister XI is very important for Rohit to adapt to Australian conditions. This practice will also help Team India set its batting order.
