Indian Squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: BCCI announced Team India for Women’s T20 World Cup, these 15 players got a place


Indian Squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: India’s campaign in the Women’s T20 World Cup will begin against New Zealand on October 4.

Indian team for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: The BCCI on Tuesday (August 27) announced India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held in the UAE in October.

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain Team India for this mega tournament (Women’s T20 World Cup 2024) while Smriti Mandhana has been named the vice-captain. At the same time, Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia are the designated wicketkeepers in the team. India’s campaign in the Women’s T20 World Cup will begin against New Zealand on October 4.

Indian women’s team for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024:

Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Shefali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (wicketkeeper), Yastika Bhatia* (wicketkeeper), Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh, Dayalan Hemalatha, Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil*, Sajna Sajeevan

Ten teams will participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup and there will be fierce competition between them. These teams have been divided into two groups.

In Group A- Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have been included.

Whereas in Group B- These include South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland.

Before starting their campaign in the Women’s T20 World Cup, the Indian team will play 2 practice matches. Their first practice match will be against West Indies and the second match will be against South Africa.
