Harshit Rana fined for breaching IPL code of conduct for the second time
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who are performing brilliantly in IPL 2024, have suffered a major setback. The team’s fast bowler Harshit Rana has been fined heavily for violating the IPL code of conduct. He has also been banned for one match.
Issuing a statement, BCCI said, Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Harshit Rana has been punished for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during the 47th match of IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals. He has been fined 100 percent of his match fee and suspended for one match.
Rana has been found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He pleaded guilty and accepted the match referee’s sanction. The match referee’s decision for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct is final.
Harshit fined for the second time
Earlier, Rana was fined 60 percent of his match fee for violating the IPL code of conduct. Let us tell you that at the beginning of the season, after dismissing Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Mayank Agarwal, he had hinted at a flying kiss.
Let us tell you that Harshit Rana has played 8 matches this season, in which he has taken 11 wickets. He is the highest wicket taker from Kolkata this season. Therefore, KKR will miss this fast bowler in the upcoming match.
