IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has appointed former Australian coach Justin Langer as its new coach for the 17th season of IPL. On the other hand, under the coaching of Langer in the upcoming season, Lucknow will be eyeing their first IPL title.

It is noteworthy that after their first season in the year 2022, Lucknow Super Giants have qualified for the IPL playoffs twice in a row. So now the team’s new coach Justin Langer has made a big revelation about his conversation with team owner Sanjeev Goenka. Langer has told how he became the coach of the franchise.

Let us tell you that through a video shared by the franchise, Justin Langer said – It was a very fun incident, and here in Perth, I got a message asking me if I have any interest in IPL coaching. Vinay told me that the team owner was currently in London and would I be interested in having coffee with him.

Langer further said- I thought after this, I have nothing to lose and then I went there and met the boss (Sanjeev Goenka). There was a good conversation between the two. He was a good salesman, one thing he said to me was you know, Justin, you’ve had a great playing career, you’ve had a great coaching career so far, but until you win the IPL you don’t consider yourself a Great coaches can’t agree.

I said ok. Salesman’s skills are good. I like that boss guy. Since then our talks are continuing. I was very excited to be called and become the head coach of this franchise. I am currently waiting for the next season. It is very exciting and I am going to offer something to Lucknow Supergiants.
