IPL 2025: LSG Retained and Released Players List: The last season of IPL was very disappointing for Lucknow Super Giants. After making it to the playoffs in the first two consecutive seasons, the team finished seventh in the points table last season.

There were continuous reports in the media reports that Lucknow KL can release Rahul and Rahul himself does not want to be a part of the franchise. Today when Lucknow Super Giants released the retention list, the fans were not surprised at all. He was included in their team by Chennai Super Kings for $1.5 million. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only player on whom all the IPL franchises had bid. Before the auction, Chennai Super Kings were criticized for not announcing the name of their icon player like other franchises. However, under the captaincy of Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings have performed amazingly so far and have won the trophy of this important tournament five times. Famous auctioneer Richard Medley shared this picture on social media in which apart from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the names of Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Shoaib Akhtar, Muttiah Muralitharan and Mahela Jayawardene are also included.
