Parthiv Patel is set to be appointed as the batting consultant of Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2025. Due to the appointment of Gary Kirsten as the head coach of the Pakistan team, a place has been created for Parthiv in the franchise. According to reports, Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki will continue as head coach and director of cricket respectively.

Let us tell you that Parthiv Patel has played some 139 matches in IPL, representing 6 franchises, in which he scored 2848 runs at a strike rate of 120.78. Currently, after retirement, he is working as a broadcaster and commentator.

Gujarat Titans flopped badly in 2024

Talking about Gujarat Titans, under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, the franchise played brilliantly in its first edition in 2022 and won the title. After this, in the 2023 edition also, the team reached the finals, but could not win the trophy and became champion for the fifth time by defeating Chennai Super Kings.

However, Shubman Gill took charge of Gujarat Titans after Hardik Pandya joined Mumbai Indians in the 2024 season. But the team failed to perform well and stood at 8th position in the points table. For this reason, the franchise now wants to create a new unit for the upcoming edition, which will help it win the title.

Talking about Parthiv, he has a lot of knowledge of domestic cricket which will be important for the Titans, especially in the upcoming mega-auction. However, he has not coached any team before, so it remains to be seen how he performs in that role if he joins Gujarat.
