“He’s more Indian than Australian. That’s what I tell him, he’s 70% Indian, 30% Australian.”: Jake Fraser
Like every time, young players dominate IPL 2024. In this list, Delhi Capitals’ Tristan Stubbs (South African player) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (Australian player) have made everyone crazy with their power-hitting. Recently, both these players were called in a podcast of Delhi Capitals and the bond between the pair was discussed. This pair has contributed a lot for Delhi this season. In the episode, the pair had a candid conversation about their golf session, IPL experience, aggressive gameplay and their idols. Let us know what both of them talked about on each matter-
How did the two first meet over golf?
Stubbs said, “I didn’t know anything about him, but he knew the story of my life.”
“I remember wondering how tall he would be,” Fraser-McGurk said. But when I saw him from the front, this person turned out to be a little taller than I had imagined.”
Who is the best golfer?
On this Jake Fraser said- “We play (golf) for the cap. Whoever loses has to buy the other person’s cap. We have had many exciting matches. “Technically I should be the better golfer, but Stubbs plays pretty well.”
Meanwhile, Stubbs said, “Jake is the better golfer. He is much better than me. I would give my game a 1 out of 5. He will beat me in five shots every time.”
How was the IPL experience of both the players?
“There’s a big difference between watching from the outside and actually playing in the league,” Jake Fraser-McGurk said. I didn’t have that much desire to play but now playing matches is one of the best things.”
“It took me some time to get used to the pressure and hype here,” Stubbs said. I am having a lot of fun.”
What is your relationship like with David Warner and what kind of person is he?
22-year-old Australian Jake Fraser also talked about his relationship with Delhi Capitals opening batsman David Warner. He said, “He (David) is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. He always has time for everyone. He will be ready to help you 24/7. In every hotel, he always stays two rooms away from me. I just go to his room every morning and have coffee.”
“He is more Indian than Australian. This is what I tell him, he is 70% Indian, 30% Australian.”
