Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali has recently given his opinion on the unavailability of excellent wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan in the Indian team. According to Basit Ali, Ishan Kishan has shifted his focus from the game and started focusing more on fashion. Kishan took a break from cricket after December 2023. After this, he also ruled himself out of India’s tour of South Africa and since then he has not been included in the team by the selectors.

Basit Ali shared a video on his official YouTube channel in which he said, ‘Ishan Kishan has fallen from his best form. He was also a little fashion conscious.’

Ishan Kishan participated in the Indian Premier League 2024 for Mumbai Indians and has not been seen on the cricket field since then. Kishan scored 360 runs in 14 innings at an average of 22.85 in the Indian Premier League 2024.

Basit Ali has given his opinion on the Sri Lankan team’s qualification for the Champions Trophy. He also said that the team should learn from the women’s cricket team who won the recently concluded Women’s Asia Cup 2024.

Basit Ali said, ‘Sri Lanka does not deserve to qualify for the Champions Trophy. I think just like we have seen in the Pakistan team that all the players are focusing more on maintaining friendship, the same has been seen in the Sri Lankan team. My personal opinion is that the Sri Lankan women’s team performed better than them. The men’s team should learn from the women’s team how to have confidence in themselves.’

Currently, the Sri Lankan team is playing a three-match T20 series against India. Two matches have been played between these two teams and India has won both. Now the third and final T20 match between these two teams will be played on July 30 in Pallekele.
