The Indian team has started the T20 series against Sri Lanka in a great way. Let us tell you that the Men in Blue won the first T20 match against the host team by 43 runs on 27 July. After the batting, Team India also showed an amazing performance in bowling.

Batting first, Team India set a target of 214 runs for Sri Lanka, while chasing which they were all out for 170 runs. When the Indian team lost the toss and came out to bat first, the openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill batted brilliantly and added 74 runs for the first wicket. Gill contributed 34 runs and Jaiswal contributed 40 runs.

Let us tell you that after the first T20 match between Sri Lanka and India ended, Shubman Gill said during the post-match – Actually we were not nervous. We had a good conversation and we knew that we needed just 1 wicket (when Sri Lanka’s score was 140/1).

Gill further said- It is great to bat with him (Jaiswal) and we complement each other. Our style is different, our planning is simple. Assess the conditions and then face the bowlers. When you are starting the innings, see how the pitch is reacting and then play according to your plan.

On the other hand, if we tell you about this T20 series, then the Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead by winning the first match of the T20 series. So now the second T20 match between the two teams will be played today on 28th July, Sunday in Pallekele.
