Former India captain Sourav Ganguly said that BCCI secretary Jay Shah, president Roger Binny and the national team selectors should talk to Kishan. Ganguly, who is Delhi Capitals’ director of cricket, said all the players selected at DC have participated in India’s three major domestic tournaments – Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He told that senior player Ishant Sharma has also played Ranji Trophy this year.

“For a player like Ishan Kishan, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, president Roger Binny and the selectors need to talk to him,” Sourav Ganguly was quoted as saying by Times of India. During this time he played Ranji and then white ball cricket. Has this made him a poor player? It’s not like that.”
Ganguly said that this matter needs to be handled seriously and he should now talk to Ishaan. All the players selected in Delhi Capitals have played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy. Even Ishant Sharma has played Ranji.
Speaking about workload management, Ganguly said that only fast bowlers need to manage their workload, why do batsmen need workload management? I can understand that Bumrah was rested, Jimmy Anderson has played more than 160 Tests. What workload are you talking about at the beginning of your career? I still maintain that the standard of Indian cricket is excellent.
