The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced Team India for the first Test of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The first Test between these two teams is starting from 19 September. On 8 September, BCCI announced India’s 16-member team.

Young fast bowler Yash Dayal has been included in the team. He has got a place in the Indian team for the first time. However, many people were surprised to see why experienced player Mohammad Shami has not been included in the Indian team for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Now the experienced fast bowler is fully fit and very soon he will be seen performing brilliantly again in international cricket. According to the report, BCCI does not want to rush into anything regarding Mohammed Shami. It wants the experienced player to get fit as soon as possible. There are also reports that Mohammed Shami will be seen playing in Bengal’s first match of Ranji Trophy 2024 on October 11.

Just a few weeks ago, Team India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar had said that Mohammed Shami could be seen playing in the Test series against Bangladesh. Shami has also started practicing bowling in the nets at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru since the last week of July. However, the board wants Shami to be completely fit.
